Whitewater police chief, city manager to sit down with WhitewaterWise Monday 

Editor’s note: The following information was released Sunday by Whitewater city officials regarding a scheduled interview to be conducted by WhitewaterWise.com editor Kim McDarison about changes in community demographics recently cited by the Whitewater Police Department, along with the department’s composition, identified needs, resources, and proposed and developing solutions for the future of the department. The interview subjects are Whitewater Police Chief Dan Meyer and Whitewater City Manager John Weidl. Full disclosure: 23 questions were  submitted by WhitewaterWise to the city officials late last week in advance of the pending interview. In the wake of significant public interest following a letter sent to elected government officials by the city of Whitewater, the city’s police chief and city manager will be doing a sit-down interview with WhitewaterWise, offering unprecedented insight into the innovative steps taken by the police department to adapt to the evolving demographics of the city. Further, the three will discuss the path ahead for Whitewater’s police department.
