Medical examiner’s office identifies Elkhorn shooting victims 

The Walworth County Medical Examiner’s office on Thursday released the names of two victims in what police are calling a double homicide committed in Elkhorn also on Thursday.

The victims are Emerson Weingart, 33, and Gina Weingart, 37, both of Elkhorn.

Both were found shot dead in an Elkhorn area bar.

Information released earlier on Thursday states that at approximately 12:11 a.m., the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call reporting “shots fired and a person down inside the Sports Page Barr.” The establishment is located at 29-1/2 S. Wisconsin St., Elkhorn.

According to information released by the Elkhorn Police Department, law enforcement authorities continue to actively investigate the incident and are seeking help from members of the public.
