The Greater Whitewater Committee (GWC) has announced that it will be hosting several representatives from Madison-based TDS Telecommunications, LLC, during its monthly meeting.
The meeting will be held Thursday, Sept. 14, at 7 a.m., at 841 Brewhouse, 841 E. Milwaukee St., Whitewater.
Those interested in attending are asked to contact committee president Jeffery Knight by Wednesday, Sept. 13, to reserve a meeting seat.
Several representatives of the company, including Associate Manager of Field Marketing Anna Jensen, Commercial Sales Manager Rick Severn and Direct Sales Representative Natalie Murphy are slated to attend.
TDS announced last month that it had launched service in Fort Atkinson, and had made its first connection in the community to the company’s high-speed, all-fiber internet.
The company noted in information released last month that construction in Fort Atkinson began last fall, and was anticipated to bring internet speeds up to 8Gig plus TV and phone service, into the community.
Within the August release, the company further noted that construction also was ongoing in other areas of Jefferson County, including the cities of Jefferson, Watertown, and Whitewater.
“The first customers in Jefferson have been connected, while service is expected to launch soon in Watertown and Whitewater,” the August release continued.
During Thursday’s meeting, according to information released by the Greater Whitewater Committee, company representatives will be discussing the company’s plans for the city of Whitewater.
To make a meeting reservation, contact Knight by email: jpk@knightpublicaffairs.com or phone: 920-728-0662.
As noted in the Greater Whitewater Committee release, “TDS Telecommunications, LLC, is building a high-speed, all-fiber internet network in Whitewater that will provide some of the fastest internet speeds in the nation, as well as TV and phone service. The company recently reached a project milestone with the connection of its first customers.”
“We are excited to hear about new technology coming to the city of Whitewater. TDS offers many different opportunities to help grow businesses and communities,” Knight was quoted as saying in the release.
