Editor’s note: The following information has been released by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT) for media publication. 

The state of Wisconsin revoked the wholesale dealer license from Rudys Auto Sales, Inc., 735 North Wisconsin St. #57, Elkhorn, for failing to properly follow statutory and administrative requirements. The order, issued by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s (WisDOT) Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV), determined that Rudys Auto Sales violated state law when they sold vehicles directly to retail customers. Rudys Auto Sales license is revoked effective Dec. 21, 2023. 

The decision to revoke the above licenses was affirmed by hearing examiner decision on Nov. 21, 2023. Following a 30-day appeal period, this revocation became final on Dec. 21, 2023.  

WisDOT DMV’s Dealer and Agent Section licenses, regulates and resolves disputes about dealership sales and warranty repairs. It also investigates complaints about odometer tampering and title fraud involving dealerships and private sellers.
