Whitewater city officials have announced that an inaugural developer meet and greet is planned to be held early next month.

According to information released by Whitewater Economic Development Director Taylor Zeinert, the “event aims to foster connections and provide valuable insights into development opportunities within the city.”

The event will be held Friday, Nov. 1, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., at the Whitewater University Innovation Center, 1221 Innovation Dr., Whitewater.

Reservations for the event are required, and must be made by Monday, Oct. 28, at 4:30 p.m., by contacting the city’s economic development administrative assistant Bonnie Miller, by phone: 262-473-0148 or email: bmiller@whitewater-wi.gov .

Those attending the event will be presented with information shared by “key team members” within city staff, including the zoning administrator and members of the Neighborhood Services staff, along with the economic development director,” the release noted.

Presentations, and discussions that follow, are developed to “cover essential aspects of development processes, zoning regulations, and economic initiatives in Whitewater,” the release read. 

Following the presentations, a guided bus tour will showcase available parcels of land, offering an in-depth look at prime development opportunities in the community, the release continued.

As stated in the release, the city of Whitewater is “committed to supporting development and growth, and this event represents a significant step toward engaging with developers and the community to explore future opportunities.”
