Campus police report investigation underway following alleged sexual assault  

A sexual assault was allegedly committed on the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater campus Tuesday afternoon, according to information released by Campus Police Chief Matt Kiederlen through the “announcements” page of the university’s website.

According to the release, at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, the university received a report of a sexual assault that is alleged to have occurred at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday in Arey Hall.

As stated in the release, “the individuals are believed to have met on a dating app.”

The alleged offender is described within the release as a Caucasian or Hispanic male  between the ages of 40 and 50.

An investigation into the incident is underway.
